The vehicle (1968 plymouth roadrunner) was delivered on the day that it was suppose to come in - however, they never called us. We had to call them.
We went the next day to pick up the vehicle in Charleston. They brought the car into a dark garage for our inspection. When we asked to take it out they told us not until we signed the paper. There was road grime all over the vehicle, you couldn't see out the windshield it was that bad. We had to buy paper towels to clean the window before we could drive it home.
We brought it home and put it in the garage, upon inspection we found a chip in the paint, the frame had been torn from tie down and the interior (carpet) was sopping wet.
When they pulled into the garage the window was down - we thought that the person bringing it around had wound it down to see out of it, but it must have been down for quite some time for the amount of water in the carpet.
You could also tell that the damage to the frame was fresh since the metal was shiny. We filed a claim with DAS for the frame damage. The estimate was over $400. and as stated they will only cover $150. They DENIED the claim since we didn't note it at the time of pickup.
I would not recommend anyone to use this company - they are unreliable and don't stand behind what they say they have no character, bad business pratices.

DAS has researched this move. In this case, the customer decided to ship at a reduced rate by declining the valuation coverage provided by DAS. Under this program, the customer gets a reduced shipping price, but releases DAS of any damage liability in excess of $150.00. Alhtough the customer did not note any of the damage conditions at the time he received his car, DAS decided to honor the $150.00 payment in good faith.
