I resist the urge to give any business 5 stars because that means they never have to strive for perfection... so let me preface this review by saying that.

I made arrangements with DAS in early February to ship my car from CA to GA. I spoke with their rep Bernie who wasn't over the top friendly, but nice enough. Rushed through some of my questions and seemed to be in a rush to get me off the phone, but wasn't rude, just... abrupt. I had a lot of questions, but I was shipping my car across country for the first time and since the reviews here were hit and miss, I wanted to call myself. My fiance subsequently called and said he got a completely different feel of Bernie so maybe answering 1000 questions from a woman just wasn't his thing. I dunno.

I dropped my car off at the DAS terminal on Monday 2/18. The service was friendly, decently fast and organized, the inspection of my car was very thorough. I was in and out within 30 minutes considering the young man searched every inch of my car looking for every paint sploch he could find. I signed the paperwork, paid the fee and left. The car stayed at the terminal for 3 days, I received an email on 2/21 that says my car was in transit and I didn't hear from them again until I received an email on 2/26 that my car had arrived at my destination. That was great considering that the car wasn't scheduled to arrive until 3/2, so it got in 4 days early.

We went to the terminal to pick up the vehicle. The staff at the destination terminal was very friendly, instead of handing me my key and making me walk the lot to go get it, they drove it right to my feet, even though I could see the car about 50 feet away. The car was a little dirty (to be expected), but in the same condition that I left it in. We signed the papers and we were on our way.

The only thing I can say is that I wish their tracking was a little more sophisticated like Fed Ex or UPS. You can't really gauge where your car is, instead it just says that it's at the origin terminal, in transit (but it doesn't say where) or at the destination terminal. If they could improve on anything, it would be that. All in all, a very good experience.
