Hi,

My husband used DAS for covered carrier about 2 years ago and recommended it; in addition, one of my co-workers recommended DAS, as he used the company for his move from Chicago to Los Angeles.

When the time came for our move from California to New Jersey, I reached out to DAS for a quote. The price range was comparable with other carriers - I was transporting my 2006 Honda Civic, uncovered and on the top portion of the truck. The total price was just under $900.

I dropped my car off at the terminal in California on a Thursday, and paid upfront for it. I was quoted 10-15 days for transport since there wasn't a set day that my car would be put on a truck. Since we were driving his car across the country, we didn't have time constraints for when we needed my car.

7 days after I dropped my car off, I received a phone call that my car was delivered to the NJ terminal. It actually beat us across the country.

Pick up of the vehicle was easy, they sprayed the car down for me so that I could inspect the exterior - there was no damage.

My only complaint would be that prior to dropping my car off, I wanted to know if it was okay to put some personal belongings in my trunk (linens, picture frames, etc). The customer service rep told me absolutely not, my car had to be free of all personal belongings or they wouldn't ship my car. When I dropped off my car, there was a flyer on the counter saying it wasn't recommended to pack the car, but it was okay to do so. I understand people probably take advantage of the weight limits and pack it full of personal items, but I was disappointed that I was lied to over the phone.

Other than that, it was a great experience and if we make another move, I would use them again.
