Not so "Dependable"

I recently hired DAS to transport my car from AZ to MA. Because my car is a convertible, I paid the big money (over $1400.00) to have it transported enclosed, top-load, to my door. Although DAS was quick to charge my credit card and to take possession of the car, that is where the prompt service ended. My car is now way overdue and I have learned that it has been sitting outside, uncovered (in the dead of winter) at their New Jersey terminal for more than 2 weeks. They did a lot to sell me on the value of enclosed transport but never mentioned, nor do any of the documents provided to me state, that when not being transported, the customer's car is sitting outside, uncovered for extended periods of time.

After pursuing customer service to ascertain the status of my car last week, they sent me an email telling me that my car would be loaded and transported to MA last friday. After checking their websit today (Monday) I found that this was entirely untrue, that the car has not been loaded or transported and is in fact still sitting in NJ. After holding for 35 minutes, I finally got through to a customer service representative who told me that it would be transported "hopefully by Thursday." Not so "Dependable."

If you care where your car is sitting or when you get it, I would strongly recommend that you find another transporter.
