Bob Brotzman, owner of Dealer to Dealer Auto Transport, Inc aka Motorcyclemoving.net out of Marco Island, FL sent me a personal e-mail stating a charge to have my motorcycle shipped via his company Motorcyclemoving.net He blatantly misrepresented his service stating that it would be one of his own personal trucks moving the bike and that it would be tied down in a special spot directly behind the cab of the truck.

Unknown to me, the service was brokered out to Craig’s Trucking of Brighton, Tennessee owned by Craig Countess. I never agreed to this. I was sent pictures of how improperly the bike was tied down by the previous owner of the motorcycle and immediately voiced my concern via pictures and e-mail to Bob Brotzman. He stated that “we did the best we could with what we had” and dismissed the fact that the motorcycle would be damaged.

Upon arrival, the motorcycle had fallen over on the trailer and sustained significant damage. I wrote down all the damage pieces on the Bill of Lading, paid Craig Countess of Craig’s Trucking my remaining balance in cash and he gave me a copy of his insurance. I had to track him down for a week to get him to file a claim with his insurance. He informed me that he had a $1,000.00 deductible that he would have to pay out of pocket and anything over that his insurance would pay for.

Progressive Insurance finally came out and gave me an estimate $2,985.15 worth of damage and cut me a check for their portion of $1,985.15 and said I would have to contact Craig’s Trucking for the deductible. All numbers for Craig’s Trucking were disconnected by then.

I have contacted Dealer to Dealer Auto Transport via phone and e-mail multiple times. They have told me that they are not responsible for the remaining balance and that I have to pursue legal action personally against Craig’s Trucking and that it is my problem, not theirs. However, they blatantly misrepresented their service, contracted it out unknowingly to me, and now I have a bike with $3K worth of damage and have only been compensated $1985. All I am asking for is my remaining balance so that I can repair the motorcycle to the condition that it was in when it left. This has been going on for 2 months now and I have been beyond nice, yet nothing is being done.
