We have a really bad experience with this company. We shipped our car from Honolulu to Augusta Georgia on May 29. We asked a friend to pick up the car for us since we were not scheduled to arrive in Georgia until July 7th. When our friend when to pick up the car he called us and asked us if we had an accident before shipping the car because the car was hit in the back and the front. We told him NO, how did this happen? He asked the person who received the car and nobody could tell him what really happened to the car. So, we told him to leave the car there and we were going to pick it up ourselves. Next day a lady from DAS called us (Nicole) and told us they were fully aware of the damages caused to our car and they were going to pay for the repairs, but she wanted our friend to go and sign for the car. We told her that our friend did not want to get involve so she has to wait for us.

To make the story short we got to GA the week after and when we saw the car we almost fell backwards the car tailgate was completed push in, the back bumper had a cut, the rear light was chipped, and the hit was so bad we could get the tailgate open. On the other hand, the front bumper had paint from another car and was all scratched. We were so MAD and Angry, our car looks almost new and now was all messed up.

The owner of the lot where they delivered the car gave us an estimate of repair for the damages; it was around $3300 some dollars. I told my husband not to move the car until we were sure DAS was going to pay for the repairs. We thought that DAS was going to pay for the repairs that's what Nicole told us. She sent us a claim form and told us to fax her an estimate. Next day she called us and told us she could not process the claim unless my husband signs the Bill of Landing and sign the car out of the lot. We told her that we did not get a Bill of Landing, so we went back to the delivery lot and asked what was going on

When we read the BILL OF LANDING form we noticed (reading the SMALL LETTERS and the back of the form) that if we signed that Bill of Landing we were going to limit the liability of our damages to $250 dollars, we didn't sign anything. The owner of the lot told us to leave the car there as long as we wanted to. Nicole kept calling us to tell us that we were going to be charged if the car was there (It was a lie) the owner told us that he was not going to charges us. Then we find out she wanted my husband to sign for the car so she could turn around and tell us she was paying only $500 dollars for the damages (She said that to someone that work in the lot, and that person felt so bad that told us about it)

I did not want to use my insurance since was not our fault the car was damaged, but I figured out NICOLE was going to give us $500 dollars and tell us "Now is your problem". I called my insurance, I'm so glad we have GEICO they immediately told us that they can handle the issue for us and let them suit that company for our damages. Then, Nicole called us again and she was threaten us to put a lien on our car if we didn't sign the Bill of Landing. After that call, I said it is enough. I used to work as a paralegal on this area years ago and I contacted one of the attorneys that I worked for and went to her office to find out what Nicole was talking about it. The attorney told me that it was not way that this woman could do that, and she was just pulling my leg that I should contact Geico again and let their attorneys to handle the situation and that's what I did. Geico went right away to see the car and sign our car to the repair shop and from that moment we stop dealing with DAS.

BE AWARE OF YOUR RIGHTS, DO NOT SIGN ANYTHING UNLESS YOU READ EVERYTHING, I was lucky my paralegal background helped us not to fall on their trap. We could be now without car and with a big repair bill. Also, Geico waived of deductible, so we were very lucky.
