I made an agreement with Crossover Auto Transport to move my car from OKC to Portland, OR. at a reasonable price. I had to give them a deposit (some of which they don't refund) when they find you a truck. After only a few days I got a call ithat they scheduled a pick-up At that point they drew $155 from my account.
The next morning they informed me their truck broke down. I've waited another week and not heard anything from them. I also had an issue with the car and decided not to move it at this time. When I called Crossover and asked for my money back, I was informed that since "a pick-up had been scheduled", they were going to keep the entire deposit. I pointed out that they only said it was scheduled, but did not actually follow through. The operator pretty much said "tough luck" they were going to keep my money any way, since their contract says they can. I will contest this, as it is unfair and sleazy.
