roller coaster.. but the car made it

Sscheduled with them on 4/1 at a "discounted" rate of 600$. I needed/wanted the car picked up between 4-14 and 4-18. On 4/14, they called and said if i increase my "bid" by 50$ it would help get a driver. I arrived in florida on the 16th and Stephanie called saying if I raise it another 50$ she has a driver for the 19th. She said they were willing to knock 50$ from their end, cherging me 100$ rather than 150$. I explained that I booked with them early so I could handle everything while I was in Florida. She apologized and said that was all she could do. I called my Father in law, who is 87 years old, he said he would meet the driver at the house for the pick up. I flew back to chicago on the 18th. I get a call on the 19th saying that the driver did not pick up the car because they did not have authorization....???? I explained to Ron (i think that was his name) that this was all handled by Stephanie on the 16th... he said "no, she is in sales, I'm in dispatch"?????? I asked why he did not call, he said he called my house (at 11:20am) and left a message and because i called back so late (around 1:30pm) the driver skipped me and moved on. I asked why they did not call my father in law? he said we don't have the number. i gave him the number and mysteriously, out of the blue, he knew my father in laws name was Irving, just as i told stephanie on the 16th.... he HAD the information.....liar.... he then told me he would do his best to have my car on the next truck north. He did. He called later that day and said it would be picked up on he 20th. It was and delivered here on the 22nd with no issues. The driver, Jeff from Beach Park Auto was great. He and Cindy kept me well informed.

One of our main policies is to charge the credit card only after getting permission from the credit card holder. We were not to able get in touch with Keith (after calling him on the only number he provided us) in order to get that permission and provide him with the carrier Information. The driver was not able to wait and left the area before Keith called us back (6 hours later). We could not get the permission from his father in law, to charge the card because he is not the card holder. The Vehicle was transported with the next available carrier with no problems.
