Coastal Express carried my car from Florida to New York State as a replacement subcontractor for another carrier whose truck supposedly had a broken transmission in Louisiana.

The contract was negotiated by the other carrier after I agreed to the replacement. I would not do business again with the other carrier but Coastal Express has my vote. The fact that they are based in Chazy, NY, and have a compound there, provided some flexibility that was useful to me.

The car was to be picked up on Friday morning, which is exactly what happened. Arrival in New York State was scheduled for Monday or Tuesday.

In talking with Elizabeth at Coastal Express, it was most likely to be on Monday. I asked her if she could be so kind as to call me on Sunday evening to let me know if it was to be on Monday or Tuesday, as I had to travel about 4 hours to meet the car in Plattsburgh and bring it back home, across the US/Canada border. I would have to leave very early on Monday if this was to be the day. Unfortunately, she did not call me. Oh well…

When I called back at 8 AM on Monday morning, she told me that the car was in the compound, waiting for me. Big smile!

Coastal Express did an excellent job of carrying the car, picking it up on time and delivering it on schedule. It has my highest recommendation.
