Received a quote from Catala Express for the shipment of a recently purchased vehicle. Was quoted $800 (with a $200 deposit) and told the vehicle would ship within a week through his trucking company directly. Once everything was finalized and payment made, I was told vehicle would ship within two day. Two days came and went, called Carlos to confirm that my vehicle had shipped. He said "there was a delay, but it will ship tomorrow morning at the latest". A few minutes after that call, I got a call from my dealer (and friend) saying that the vehicle was being listed on a auto broker site for $925. I called Carlos the next morning to confirm that the vehicle had shipped, he said it will in "a couple of hours". I confronted him with the allegation of him brokering the vehicle for a higher price that we agreed on. He denied it and reaffirmed our $800 agreement. I asked him to send me a contract with an updated price, and he did.

I called Carlos late Thursday night to again confirm shipment and got no answer. However, he did answer my call the next morning and said "it will ship within the hour". I waited several hours to call him again, but he didn't answer. Waited a couple more hours (and 30 minutes before the close of the auction site for the weekend)... no answer. So I called him 10 minutes later and left a message threatening to turn him into the authorities for the theft of my $200. He immediately called back, told me to "f$%^ off", that "the money is non-refundable", "good luck getting your car" and "good luck getting your money back". He then hung up on me. I tried to call back, but he didn't answer.

I then sent him an email explaining that he was committing fraud and thereby voiding the contract. He responded with childish and threatening emails including:

- "May your children die of cancer"
- "May you be struck by a lightening bolt"
- "I hope you die"
- "May you get hit by a truck"

Carlos Catala is an absolute liar and his business is nothing more than a scam.

Shipper beware.

This post is current for a problem of last year. I dont do autos anymore. I was forced to disolve catala express for identity theft reasons. I do local work only in Miami,fL. I dont have an active MC number.
