Our precious yellow "bug" car had served us well, being the home health and hospice car of our community.
I had retired and she was resting in our garage. Our grandson asked us years ago to please give him the car and never sell it, Our son needed a car and it was a love affair everywhere. We decided it was the time to give the car to our son and family.
We went on the internet to find out about transport companies and we had about 20 bids, We had never done this before and were uncertain of how to transport a car.
We choose Cascades Shipping as Blaine was so nice and understood our feelings. He explained how the process went and what we could expect. We needed to put some money down and the rest would be collected when the car arrived in Minnesota. He gave us a bid which was better than most companies.
After we agreed he found a driver that would meet our bid. We also liked that the company was close to us.
They are in Kalama and we are in Ocean Park Washington. We knew if there were problems we could easily visit them.
Blaine worked with us and within a few days had set up a schedule. Zhenya picked up the car at our home and safely placed her on the truck and we let her go. He was kind and competent and kept in touch with us to set up the pickup. He said he would start working with our son now. The car was carefully assessed and we signed a paper on the condition of the car. When the car arrived our son read the earlier assessment and the car was checked and found to have no changes. The expected delivery was quicker than we expected. Blaine contacted us to make sure the pick up was smooth and to see how we were.
The yellow bug car arrived in good condition. Zhenya kept in touch with our son and there were no problems. We even have a film of the delivery which was exciting.
We would use cascades if we ever need to transport a car again, in fact are already telling people here about this company.
Blaine followed up after delivery to make sure our family and the car were doing well, and also that the process worked. They were sensitive to our needs and we are completely satisfied.
