Great customer service - but would never ship my car again

Kim at Cascade was awesome to work with. However, my experience with the company who actually shipped my vehicle (M&M Freight out of Portland Oregon - main contact "Mark") was absolutely horrendous so I would never be able to trust another shipping company.

They picked my car up at 11 PM the day before they said they would and gave me 2 hours notice (not helpful when you have already had your stuff moved out of your house and you have a 6 month old baby). They then continued to unload and load cars on/off the truck in my neighborhood with the diesel truck running...not nice in the middle of the night, in the middle of the week!! They were there until at least 1 or 2 in the morning.

They (M&M) never responded to my phone calls or texts to see where my car was. They took two and half weeks to deliver my car and even then, they ended up DRIVING my car from somewhere or else took my car for a joy ride because they put 170 miles on my car!! Make sure you remember to write down your mileage before they take your vehicle away. Even though I did they blew me and Kim at Cascade off and pretended to not understand or know how miles got put on my car. That is TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE! They drove my car in the wrong gear and the engine is still smelling "burnt" three days after it was finally delivered. They tried to get me to sign someone else's bill of lading because they couldn't find mine. I wrote down the starting and ending mileage on it and the condition of my car - make sure you do that before you sign the bill of lading. They (M&M Freight) promised me a refund of $150.00 but I doubt I will ever see it. They are very shady!!

Once again, Kim at Cascade was very responsive to my concerns and was calling the freight company as often and more than I was and always responded quickly to me and even gave me her personal number to contact her when the freight company still hadn't delivered my car and it came to the weekend when they promised, again, that it was going to show up. We called Mark at M&M so often that his voicemail box was full. Kim also called the main person at M&M and he tried to give us Mark's number again. He eventually did respond to Kim's text when she sent it from a different number that he didn't recognize.

Once again though....driving my car any more than on and off the transporter is SOOOOO wrong!!! If I wanted miles put on my car, I would have driven it myself. Because I was without my car for so long, I had to drive my husband to and from work for two and half weeks and wake up my baby at 6 AM to do so and then often wake him up from his nap to pick my husband up again (40 mins roundtrip). So inconvenient. As if moving isn't stressful enough. They originally promised 7 days, with 10 days being the longest. 18 days it ended up taking!!!! The cost seemed reasonable especially compared to what my moving company quoted...next time I would drive myself, pay a friend to drive it or use my moving company.

Kimberly 360-834-7898 ext 235 Kimberly@Cascadevehicleshipping.com Stephanie, I am so glad that you think I am awesome. Yes this trucking company was horrible. They have been put on a do not use. I am currently working on getting your refund issued as quickly as possible for you. Please go rate the truck separately so when customer go to their link they will see what they did for your transport. I wish I could have done more. I am glad that I gave you my personal number and we got things handled on Saturday evening after hours. I wish I could have done more. Please keep in touch and let me know how things are progressing. I will continue to hound Mark until your refund is sent. Thanks and again I am so sorry for all the hassle his company put you through.
