Very Disappointing Experience

I had my car shipped from Hawaii to Alabama and dropped the vehicle off at the port. My car arrived over 2 wks later than estimated timeframe given by given by Kim at Cascade. In speaking with Kim via telephone during transport, I received excuses... I am a results oriented individual and that was what I wanted not excuses...Upon arrival of the vehicle, I was charged $50 more than originally quoted. The driver showed me the invoice from Cascade authorizing this new total. I was very clear during the booking process about no additional expenses and was told there were not any. I paid the additional $ in order to have my car released to me. Upon delivery, I expected the car to be dirty since it was an open carrier, however filthy and covered with grease was disgusting and in my opinion, unacceptable... When I spoke with Kim about the additional fee, I was informed a reimbursement check for the $50 would be issued and it was. I received it a couple days later...I cleaned the car and parked it in the garage. A couple days later, I noticed a trail of fluid in the garage & took it into the dealer to have it checked. The transmission pan was leaking around the gasket & also on a knuckle near the transmission pan. I did not even call Cascade as my warranty covered the repair. My BMW was not leaking prior to shipping... Coincidence??? Maybe, but I think otherwise... I was reimbursed for the additional $50 that I was charged, but that never should have happened in the first place... Overall, terrible experience!!! Late with delivery, additional fees, car covered with grease spatter, and in need of repair (that I'm convinced happened during transport)... Very friendly and professional during booking process, but once they had my money???????... Again, terrible experience!!! Will definitely NOT recommend them, NOR will I EVER use them again... Ron, I am sorry that you feel you had a bad experience. There were no excuses given, there were delays with Matson which we have no control over. You did not pay more than your quote. We had you pay 50 to the driver extra that was returned from the deposit that you paid, so over all you were not overcharged. The vehicle was coming from Hawaii to Alabama, the vehicle would most likely be dirty. If there was grease on the vehicle you should have reported that to us. When you noticed a leak you should have immediately informed Cascade so we could have taken appropriate steps to correct the situation, even if te vehicle was covered by your warrenty. As for the late on delivery, our terms clearly state: The normal pickup timeframe is 1 to 10 business days. Pickup and delivery dates are contingent upon carrier availability and season. All dates and times given are an approximation. We cannot guarantee exact dates or times of when the vehicle will be picked up or delivered. Carriers may be subject to delays. Cascade Vehicle Shipping, Inc. will not be held responsible for any expense related to a delay (car rental fees, storage fees, accommodation fees, etc.) Cascade Vehicle Shipping, Inc. is an agent for you. We arrange for the transportation of the vehicle by finding an appropriate carrier. We do not own trucks or physically transport the vehicle. Our services end when the carrier is assigned and contacts you regarding pickup and delivery of the vehicle. Again I am sorry that you were unhappy, I wish you would have talked to me about this after delivery. I was not aware of any issues. You sounded fine when we spoke after delivery. Thanks Kimberly
