Delays and cost of shipping 91 toyota

The customer service representative was most pleasant and communicative.

The service provided; however, was lacking. A carrier was not located until the 10th day of agreeing to use the service and intial deposit. To have the vehicle delivered, I was informed that the price would be increased by $50 over the agreed upon shipping price. This appeared to be a contract violation on the part of the broker. Because of the urgency to have the vehicle delivered, I willingly agreed to the inflated rate (shipper enhancement charge?) The transport company delayed pickup for over 2 days later than the committed shipping date. Arrival date was a day later than anticipated. The carrier found excuses not to deliver to the "door" as agreed. I had to leave a business engagement early to meet the carrier at a truck stop and arrange for a driver to deliver the vehicle to my house. When asking the driver for a receipt for my cash final payment, he passed along the only copy of a shipping invoice that he had scribbled upon with my signature.

To summarize, none of the guarantees provided by Cascade were honored. It cost me $50 more than the original quoted price and required 3 d longer than guaranteed. I had to arrange pickup at a remote site. I will never use this service again nor will I recommend to anyone that I care for.

Hi Arnold, I do apologize that your move took longer then anticipated. Moving from Iowa to South Dakota while not a long move, is an unusual one. The carrier did ask for the additional 50.00 on that route, and I gave you the option to not accept that carrier. I never intentionally mislead you nor guaranteed any pick up or delivery dates. I tell all my customers that NOTHING is guaranteed there are too many variables and I would be lying if I did. The truck broke down. Unfortunately it happens. I did stay in contact with your son and let him know what was happening as well. Again I do apologize that your move did not go exactly as anticipated but I am glad that you received your truck......ENJOY!
