First time user of vehicle transport. I searched Google and Yahoo, but found this site to actually make my decisions. I researched about 15 companies and got quotes from 10. Quotes ranged from 595 to 895, so it's worth your time to shop. I narrowed the quotes down to the 3 three best ones, looking at the highest rating in last two year, then the last year. While doing my review and analysis, I received several follow up emails as well as direct calls. I prefer to do my research without the pain of talking to sales personal, but the ones I did get a call from, were actually helpful. So listen to what they say and ask questions. Also keep notes of calls and questions/answers. I am an accountant by profession and therefore set up a small spreadsheet to evaluate different factors, such as ratings, price, friendliness of agent and history, etc. I read many of the 5 star reviews for each company, but a five star hephful and is going to be glowing. I was really interested in the lower rated reviews just to get a feel of the problems the customer's encountered. Also read the companies responses to these low rated reviews. Expect to find a few bad reviews for any of the companies and for the ones I read I wasn't concerned about because of the type of complaint. Getting back to Cascade and why I selected them. First they were the second highest rated 5 star(the highest was $125 more). Second their initial quote was one of the lowest, but not the lowest. I get nervous with low ball bidders. Third, their low star reviews were few and they gave good responses to the complaint, and their 5 star reviewed had good comments about service and friendliness of the agent. Since I had some flexibilty in pick up and delivery, I had them try for a lower pricing than they quoted. Kim worked with me on this and put the vehicle out at the lower price. We must have hit it prefectly because we almost immediately got a dispatch at the lower rate, with a pick up the next day. It work great and Kim did a good job. One thing about the picked, the driver got delayed by traffic so make sure you get his cell number and verify his location in route to the pick up. Also if you live in a residential area, a big truck and rig will have some difficulty getting in and out. I found a pick up location which was convenient but not far from home and took the vehicle there for the pick up. This also worked great. In summary, I would recommend Cascade and Kim since I had such a great first experience.
