Price changed three times, but got job done

I requested quotes from two different websites and had them sent to different e-mail addresses. From Barry and Glen, I got the following quotes: $770, $980 and $1000. (I received quotes from other companies ranging from about $850 to $1295). I spoke with Barry and he said he couldn't guarantee anything and wouldn't charge an upfront fee, but if I sent my info he'd try to get me a truck. He said he would only get $70 of the money. I responded to the e-mail with the $770 charge. I decided to go with them about a week before I need the car moved.

On the next e-mail he wrote:

I asked about the "tax on ." and he said it was a transportation tax.

Barry wrote:

I left a couple messages over the weekend that weren't returned then.

Monday I heard from Glen that a truck was scheduled for me for $845. A later e-mail said that it was really $850- to account for a $5 paypal fee. The driver was going to get $745 and Glen was getting $105.

I wrote Barry:

He responded:
"based on pick up dates
holiday scheduling etc."

It was over the fourth of July . . . I don't know. Despite all of the price changes, it was still on the lowest end of all estimates and the pickup date was the second day of my window and the car arrived ahead of time, so we never had to rent a car. This was perfect! Overall, I was quite pleased.
