My car got there before me!

Firstly I would like to say that this was my first time shipping a car across country. Carla was a very patient and polite woman and the shipper whom delivery my car was a very hospitable man. However there was some stress in the process of shipping out my car. Firstly the shipper stated he could only pick up the car in NJ and I live in NY. Although we spoke later on that night and early morning and agreed to meet out in Long Island this destination was much closer to me than NJ, so I was quite relieved and happy about that. Secondly, we arranged to pick up the car in CA between the 16th through the 17th of Dec. However my car got there on the 14th! I didn't arrive in CA until the 15th. I was not able to sign off on the bill of lading but fortunately I had my fiance there to check out the car and sign everything. If I didn't have him there, I don't know what I would of done! Carla and the shipper gave me sometime to call them back and let me give my final inspection and I did the car was in excellent condition. However it did need a good washing but an open transporter and the open road across country during the winter months will make a car pretty dirty. Good thing my fiance took it to the car wash before I got to CA :-).
