Bullet STOLE My Car

A broker contracted Bullet Auto Transport to take my car from CA to NY. While they did advise me that I was packing items in my trunk at my own risk, they never warned that my entire car, along with its contents, might NEVER make it back to me.

William, the owner of Bullet, called me in a panic, the day the car was supposed to arrive to me in NY, and asked if I had heard from his driver. He said he could not reach his driver for days, and that he had already called the cops on him. (His English is very broken which has made this nightmare even more difficult.) Bullet confirmed the next day that my car, along with the transporter and six other cars, was officially stolen by its driver, a man named Nelson, somewhere around Ohio. William said he reported all the vehicles stolen to the Deerfield, FL police (where Bullet is located). (I had previously tried reporting it stolen and was told that I couldn't; the last person who had possession of the car - Bullet - needed to do that).

One week later (today), I learn from the Deerfield Police Department that William has lied; NO CARS were ever reported stolen, only his transporter. They also informed me that a detective is currently investigating Bullet, who is under suspicion.

William is almost impossible to reach by phone (and is too difficult to understand when I do reach him), and I have been unable (as has my Insurance agent) to get any information about HIS insurance company. The Deerfield Police have advised me to get a lawyer.

I notice that as of yesterday, Bullet's web site is no longer up.

What first appeared to be a crooked driver employed by Bullet, now seems to be the case of a crooked owner of a crooked company. In case they are NOT out of business soon, and if you plan on actually seeing your car again, I'd choose any one of the other 5,000 transport companies before I would these thieves.
