Moral of the story: never go with the lowest bidder.

I ran into so many problems with these guys, it would have been easier to drive the car across the country myself.

1. When I placed the order (Friday), I was told the truck had one slot left and would pick up the car on Monday or Tuedsay. this was good, because i needed the car in CA asap. When the truck didn't come on Tuesday, I called them up, and was told "Wednesday." And so it went, calling them every day, being put on hold, getting the run-around "we don't know what happened, it's the trucking company's fault, we thought they would show up." then they gave me the number of the trucking company, and the truck driver, and told me to call, to find out what's going on. umm, what am i paying you money for, then? the truck finally came the next sunday - 1 week later. and that's after i talked to the driver myself, several times.

2. I explained early on that i wanted to pay the full balance, because the receiver wouldn't have that much cash on them. they emailed me a credit card authorization form, which i filled out and faxed to them the same day. when the car arrived in CA, the driver called the receiver and asked for the money - imagine my surprise. after a long, heated coversation with the BestWay dispatch, i discovered that they "didn't have the CC authoriation form on file" and "there was nothing they could do." i was told that this was my problem now, and when i pressed about the CC authorization for roughly 1K being in their posession (i have the fax receipt), i was told "our job is to ship the car, nothing else" and "you don't have a leg to stand on, you can't prove anything." i had to wire the money to the receiver - additional expenses, and still don't know what's going to happen with that authorization.

here's the summary: in my dealing with this business, i have encountered dishonesty, false statements, withholding of vital information, rudeness, and abysmal failure of decent customer support. more than once i had strong suspicion that these guys were just a scam-shop, and my money was simply gone. if you're reading this, for your own sake, don't use them - pay the extra $100-200, and avoid 3 weeks of headaches.

we do not charge the customers credit card for the full amount, only if the customer authorizes it. in this case the customer never sent us the authorization to charge the full amount.it is no difference to us to charge the full amount.we also have in our contract that you cannot use a credit card on delivery only cash, bank check or certified check.if in fact this car was delivered within 3 weeks we have no control over the truckers, also this car might have been picked up a couple of days past the estimated pickup date.
