As others said this started our promising - quote was reasonable (half what charges ended up being), team for pick up was on time and polite. I was told that if I provided 2 weeks notice I could get my items when I needed. I contacted them on 7/2 requesting a delivery of 8/4 ( could do 8/1 - 8/5) - no reply. When I contacted them via email again I was told that the driver would contact me closer to delivery date to confirm date and time. 3 weeks later - I contacted again and they started to be rude and hostile. I was told that they could ask for a delivery date - but there was not assurance. I tried to be proactive and let them know my limited availabilty due to my job and a family prior engagement.

The day my items finally arrived(8/16 - I camped for 2 weeks in an empty house - sleeping on the floor) they wanted the cash prior to opening the truck. The driver was rude and agressive. I was very frightened. I said that I would give 1/2 of the cash and the other 1/2 when the items were unloaded. No way - after the police came to witness his receipt of the cash - he wanted me to sign that I had received all of the items before he took them off of the truck. The police convinced him that I could not sign for the items prior to them being unloaded and inventoried. After they left he continued to make remarks and I was very uncomfortable.

My boxes were smashed and torn and open. Items were dusty - and piled haphazardly in the truck - upside down, etc. Some boxes were dropped from the top of the truck as they just pulled items out from under them. Packing tape had been applied to wood surfaces ruining them. Items had gouges and things in one of the smashed boxes were broken. I worked for a moving company at one time, so I know how to pack things - which is the only reason that the damages were not higher. The front was broken off of an antique sideboard.

I took pictures of the items as they were unloaded from the truck for the external insurance company I insured my items through. The driver said - "is no matter - insurance only 60 cents a pound". I let him know that I had engaged additional insurance.

This was an extremely unpleasant experience from me being given bad information, being yelled at and treated rudely, to my items being handled poorly.
