I chose this company after reading Transport Reviews and talking to a few of the highest rated ones. The person I spoke with initially was very customer friendly and willing to answer my several questions in as much detail as I wanted. The price was high, but not as high as some.(Signficantly lower quotes raised a warning signal to me.) However, there was apparently some miscommunication between Autostar and the carrier. I was told that I'd be notified 3-24 hours before pick-up and that service was was door-to-door. The Carrier called me the day after the day for pick-up when he was 10 minutes from my house and asked me to bring the car to him. (After the first 24 hours of waiting, I'd called Autostar and the person I spoke with was very helpful and called me back to tell me that it was delayed a day, but I would be given 3-24 hours notice prior to pick-up. The first piece of information was correct; not the second piece of information.) The car arrived in the destination area a day before it was due. Unfortunately I wasn't able to receive delivery that day. Being forewarned about possible (probable?) eccentricities of the Carrier would have reduced my stress level considerably.
