I hired Autostar to take care of my transport from NJ to WA with a scheduled pick up day of 12/28/2010. Much to my chagrin, a Nor'Easter slammed the pickup location with 25" of snow ovwernight from 12/26 to 12/27. COMPLETELY understandably the pickup was delayed as the driver was coming down from New England. Despite the snow, the driver picked up the car without incident on 12/31/10. It was estimated that transit time would be 7-10 days and the driver would contact us the day before pick up. I finally picked up the car after 11 days in transit only after I contacted the driver personally. The driver was unprofessional and dishonest and I've cross referenced a review for his company Mobile Transport with more details.
Since this is a review only of Autostar, I'll happily give them a good review. Mary was nice, efficient and easy to contact. She had some issues contacting Mobile Transport due to the snow and volume of calls, but other than that everything was great. Despite a major blizzard the car was delivered cross country in 14 days with no hidden fees or problems. I would use Autostar again, but I would ask them not to use Mobile Transport.
