Never having used a transporter before I was a novice at choosing who to pick. Requested a quote via the net and received several. Had two vehicles to ship. Price ranged from 775 to 1200 for each. I reviewed a site from Stateway and they seemed to have everything I would need. Contracted with them and put $240 on my credit card. Told their representative the move date would have to be on Nov 17, 18 or 19, period. If they could not accommodate those dates he had to let me know so I could look elsewhere. He assured me he could. It didn't happen, he was late or never returned my calls as the deadline approached. On Nov 26 I canceled my order with them and contacted Sean McBride of Auto Star Transport. I remembered him from one of the quotes because he was very detailed in what to do and not to do when choosing a transporter. He went to work and got back to me on the same day with a specific pick up time on 18th along with all of the details I needed to be aware of for the move. He was great and a pleasure to deal with. I would recommend him first and use him again if necessary. One last thing, when I checked into getting my $240 back from Stateway I found they charged by card $420 rather than the $240 they told me would be the charge. Many lessons learned.
