AutoStar promised that the Driver of the Transport Company will come in the big truck and get the car loaded. Instead they wanted to come over to my place pickup my car and drive to their transport office and keep with them until the next day when it gets loaded into their big truck.

Also they wanted to mention a sentence in the Bill of Lading ‘The car has got all scratches and dings' and sign it. Why anyone like this has to mention and sign it? This is apart from the normal inspection note that is signed by both parties

I don't get the current status of the vehicle when it is on move. Instead they call the transport company and tell them to call me and inform me the current status. The transport company never called. It should be the responsibility of the AutoStatr to give periodic updates, as they are the one with whom the agreement is made

Sometimes I just have to scratch my head... That being said, I am sorry Prabhakar would choose to characterize the service he received as 'average,' considering the amount of time and effort that went into securing him a transport for the price he wished to pay (which, by the way, was $210 lower than his original quote, and WELL below market value for a coast to coast transport). From the beginning, he was also made aware that since his pick up location was in a residential neighborhood that was under construction, he would have to meet the carrier several blocks away, as a truck in excess of 60 ft long could not reach his doorstep. Furthermore, his contact person at the point of origin flatly refused to do the inspection of the vehicle with the driver. Only after the driver made him aware that the vehicle would NOT be loaded until the inspection was done did his contact person relent and do the necessary inspection. Finally, AutoStar was in constant contact with Prabhakar throughout the process with DAILY updates. (Ever go on a road trip with several children in the back seat? 'Are we there yet?' - ad infinitum) He was only given the carrier contact information in case he needed it outside of our business hours, but we answered his calls and request for status updates EVERY single day. Again, I am sorry Prabhakar feels the service was mediocre, but I wholeheartedly disagree and assert that it was exceptional.
