Failure to deliver

I contracted Auto Star to move a car from RI to Kansas City. MO for an action. I signed an agreement and was guaranteed that my vehicle would arrive in Kansas City by the two-day window for the weekend Action. I was in contact with their dispatch person as the date came closer, but I had yet to receive the driver's information. Each time, I was told, we are working on confirming the driver, but no concern, we will get your car there on time. I was told this right up until two days before the date when the math of time and distance became apparent it would be physically impossible to get the car to the destination on time. I gave them plenty of opportunities to just tell me they could not make it happen and give me a chance of possibly finding another carrier. The only response I would get was, "We are working on getting a driver." I eventually said even if a driver showed up now, he couldn't make it in time. Again, "We are working on securing a driver, or my other option is to cancel." I understand things happen and every business will make mistakes, but what they did only tells me they have no regard for the customer, just book everything, promise everything, and don't worry if we can deliver.
