Mercedes transport to Puerto Rico

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. They picked up my vehicle three days after the pick up date which was September 2, No one seemed to know where my vehicle was a week later. I was told by one worker my vehicle was already shipped and ready to pick up at the destination, but the other worker stated the vehicle was not shipped yet and was still sitting on some parking lot. I was called a liar by the supervisor since he says they did not give me the wrong information, But I have emails to prove it. I was given two different reference numbers. I had called several times and requested a copy of my contract, it took five emails and over ten phone calls to get a copy. The supervisor requested time to review my contract, funny how he did not know what the contract said. when I called the ship that was bringing my vehicle they had no record of my vehicle because they made up the number? after several calls to find my car I spoke to the supervisor who assures me the Mercedes Benz will arrive on the 15th, but then I am told that the vehicle will arrive the 18th of September 2010. I know go to pick up my vehicle and they state that Autostar transport never paid for shipping my car, although I paid them in August 2020, I now had to wait over three hours for them to pay their invoice and because I kept calling them. their excuse was that they could not reach them by phone? It was a total nightmare dealing with this company. I now inspect my vehicle and it looks like it was hit from behind and the bumper on my Mercedes has been damaged, the mileage on my car was more than when they picked it up, not sure why and who was driving my car but that was not on my contract. I was very upset and left a message to the Manager and never returned my calls, I also left messages to speak to the owner and never got a call or email from him either, not sure what was going on but their customer service is horrible. They do not notify you of changes and or issues with your car while its in their hands They call you several times when they want the money to transport but once they receive it, do not expect any customer service from this company. I am suing this company for damages to my vehicle. I do not recommend them and I am also dealing with the BBB, since I could not resolve my issues with them.. I do not recommend this company to anyone, it is very stressful to ship with a company that is not good with customers and they will not tell you the truth....

AutoStar Transport Express would like to offer our sincerest apologies that the customer did not have the same 5 star experience we are accustomed to providing. Transporting a vehicle to Puerto Rico, or any overseas location, does come with its challenges. There are land transport schedules and carriers availability to consider, plus the sea transporter’s own schedules and delays. We would just like to say that AutoStar Transport Express met all their contractual agreements that the we entered into with the customer by way of a signed contract from customer on August 26th. While we do not agree with the majority of the fabricated, and exaggerated comments made by the customer, we do respect the fact that they have a right to their opinion. We do take the customer’s claim of damage seriously, and if the customer would care to follow the proper procedures in filing a damage claim, we would be more than happy to assist. We wish the customer well.
