Unable to ship my car

I had booked with this company over a month ago to ship my car from Virginia to California. I was anticipating my car to be picked up 3 DAYS AGO but they have not been able to find a driver for me. They also never explained to me that they needed a 5 day window from the pick up date I gave them. I'm in a bit of a time crunch so on day 3 (today), I called another company and they found a driver within 10 minutes. They also don't require you to pay a deposit until they find you a driver. Autostar Transport Express asked for $185 when I booked with them online over a month ago. I'm paying this new company about $200 more than what Autostar Transport wanted, but at least now I have peace of mind that my car is getting picked up tomorrow. In the future, I would recommend everyone to call up and talk to the companies about expectations. Ask about pick up windows and when they want the deposit paid. This other transport company also guarantees a 2 day window whereas Autostar Transport Express said 5 day window and no guarantee (when I looked back at the contract I signed). I thought with all the positive reviews I saw about Autostar Transport I would have been fine with getting my car shipped, but that didn't end up being the case.

At the time the customer placed the order online on May 7th, she had already agreed to all terms and conditions that clearly states we are allotted 5 business days from the first day the vehicle becomes available to locate and assign a carrier.   An order cannot be placed online without agreeing to terms and conditions.   Customer also signed a PDF version of the contract on May 9th.  At this point, nearly three weeks before the vehicle became available to transport, customer had already agreed twice to allow us 5 business days to locate a carrier. We also, did NOT charge the customer’s credit card.  Customer voluntarily paid the deposit when placing the order on May 7th. Paying a deposit when placing an order is NOT a requirement. Had the customer indicated to us that she was willing to spend an additional $200 to expedite the transport, we too would have been able to locate a carrier immediately.  Anyone can find a carrier for $200 more! We wish the customer well, and hope her transport goes smoothly.
