Delay, delay, delay, and raising the price

First of all, I haven’t got my car yet. It should be here by 11/5 but now the latest scheduled deliver date is 11/16. Since I am super dissapointed about the experience... I want to write the review first.

I signed the contract at Oct 17 with Frank and said that I will need the car by Nov 4 in Hillsboro. At that time, I asked him if it is possible to find a driver delivering the car me on Nov 3 or 4th, since I will arrive the area at 11/03. Frank said no problem. And we signed a contract with $150 to AutoTrabsport and $900 to the carrier- that is $1050 in total.

However, He cannot find a driver to pick up the car even before I flew out from Indy at 11/03- of course, I did not get the car by Nov. 4. What worse is, he told me even though he made over 300 calls, he can only find two carriers, one is asking for $1000 (which can deliver my car by 11/11) and the other is asking for $1100 (which can deliver by 11/10). He kept telling me that there is no driver around the area- they are all in the east coast, where the money is at... I feel like...OKAY, you are telling me that my money is not money, and the contract works for nothing? Car can not be in on time and price vary as well?!!!

FINE I just want my car since I have already rented a car for a week to cover the time I don’t have my car. I chose the one for $1000 to the carrier and will get my car by Saturday (11/11). However, a bad thing will never happen alone. Frank told me the pickup time is no later than (11/7), and the car should arrive by Saturday (11/11)

However, again, I texted the carrier that when they would like to pick up the car, Monday or Tuesday?, they told me that the drivers cut his finger to bond (I am sorry for that)- therefore it delayed again. Take it or not- it’s up to you. Okay, I really want my car, and I don’t think Frank can find another driver to pick up in a short time as well. I have no choice but accept it. The driver finally picked up the car on Thursday (11/9) and the contact of carrier told me they will try their best to deliver my car on Monday or Tuesday (11/14). BUT!! Today, (11/14) they told me that the truck is broken and is under mandatory maintenance, the deliver is delayed AGAIN to Thursday (11/16).

I paid $150 (to Autostar) + $1000 (to the carrier, which should be $900 on the contract) + $200 ( for the car rental for almost two weeks due to the delaying deliver) = $ 1350 in total. I really feel WHAT IS THE POINT TO SIGN THE CONTRACT WITH THE COMPNAY FOR NOTHING!! there is no garauntee and no compensation for this kind of delayed situation. AND I STILL DONT KNOW IF THE CAR WILL ARRIVE ON THE LATEST SCHULDED DAY. I should change to/choose other company which had broker and carrier in their company, and they can really follow the price on their contract. I understand Frank worked really hard on my case, but I am really disappointed on the result.

The other key point is i don’t know why the communication is totally not smoothly at all. I was seldom been updated- I knew every situation (can’t find a driver in time, delayed picking up, delayed delivery), only because I was worried and asked about it.

I appreciate Frank’s hard work, but I seriously thinks AUTO-TRANSPORT EXPRESS should follow the original quote $1050 ($1500+$900), covering the extra $100 for the carrier- and genousy cover the car rental due to this delay.

I don’t want to make a hard time for anyone, but this kind of service is totally unacceptable.

[?11/?15/?2017 12:39 PM] Our sincere apologies to the customer for the delay on the transport of her vehicle. Delivery was estimated to be on 11/14/2017 but due to a mechanical breakdown the car will be delivered on 11/16/2017. Although this is an unfortunate situation, these things can happen in this industry, which is why we always work with estimated dates. We will continue to monitor the situation until the vehicle is delivered.
