Below is a copy of our original response to Mr. Weinstein. I would also like to add that the only person responsible for having the reviews removed was Mr. Weinstein himself. After posting 3 reviews in his own name, he chose to post 3 more fake reviews under various aliases. Transport Reviews flagged those reviews as having come from the same IP address, and as they were obviously an attempt at malicious defamation, they were removed. Also, Mr. Weinstein's claim that we have complaints with the BBB is completely false. First of all, we are very sorry Mr. Weinstein feels so neglected that he would fabricate such a tale of half-truths, however at no time was he lied to or misled by any member of AutoStar Transport & Logistics. Secondly, we begin working on every order as soon as we receive them, and always answer the phones from 10am to 7pm Eastern, as Mr. Weinstein is well aware after calling our office no less than 5 times a day for a week. It is true that we had difficulty locating a carrier that was willing to go to the location Mr. Weinstein specified, and we offered a bonus out of our own pocket as incentive for a driver to accept the load. We also gave Mr. Weinstein the option of canceling for a full refund if he so chose, but he opted to keep the order open and offered an additional, unsolicited bonus to the driver. It is completely ludicrous to say that we attempted a "SWITCH AND BAIT" or to "BLACKMAIL" him if we offered all of our commission to the driver as well as offering him a complete refund. We notified Mr. Weinstein that we had located a carrier for him on a Monday, and he agreed to send us updated information for his contact people no later than the following day. We dispatched the carrier that same day, and our office as well as the driver attempted to reach Mr. Weinstein by phone and email for the next 2 days. He NEVER again contacted our office. It is amazing to me that after calling our office so many times each and every day, and after being told that we had his carrier in route, that he would choose that very moment to break off all contact and disappear. What follows is a copy of the email sent to Mr. Weinstein in regards to the refund request he sent a week after vanishing: At the time you received the email saying there would be a refund if you chose to cancel, we did not have a carrier for you. You chose to leave the order open, and offered a bonus to any carrier that would pick up the vehicle. Pam had spoken to you on Monday, and told you she would call you back on Tuesday with the confirmation. We assigned a carrier and called you with the confirmation no less than 3 times on Tuesday and sent you an email as well. The driver also attempted to make contact on Tuesday and Wednesday. You never responded to ANY of our or the driver’s voice mails. I found it surprising that someone so desperate t
