After researching the auto transport business prior to signing a contract I was very skeptical about the process. There are many auto transport brokers out there and my research showed a need to very cautious about signing a contract and then getting gouged for far more than the original agreement.

One of the first companies to contact me was Auto Star. The customer service representative, Kerron Van Der Merwe was very helpful and referred me to the reviews page on their website. What I liked about the Auto Star reviews was how they responded to every review, including the negatives, which were almost non existent.

I signed with Auto Star. Kerron kept me constantly updated through the process by both email and phone calls, and three days after signing the contract he telephoned me to tell me he had a driver in New Mexico who could manage my transport request.

Auto Star did exactly what they said they would do. The original quote was for $550.00 from Albuquerque, NM to Vidalia, GA. After further discussion a driver was found to actually pick-up the vehicle near our home in Elephant Butte, NM, for additional $100.00, which I approved.

The driver, John, was about forty minutes later then expected, but since the arrangements were last minute, I did not hold that against him or Auto Star. John was very courteous and helpful. John delivered the vehicle to its destination exactly when he said he would. He did not make any attempt to gouge my son and daughter-in-law, who received the car, for a penny more than what we had negotiated with Auto Star. I gladly recommend Auto Star for anybody looking to move a vehicle across country.
