After contacting almost 150 companies and researching the transporting business, I was left feeling it would be easier to put them all in a hat, take my chances and pick one. Deposit? No deposit? Broker? Bad reviews? Paid reviews? It was overwhelming and time was running out. I lucked out. Along came Tammy Yugin at Autostar Transport and Logistics. It was Friday and she said she had a driver available to pick the car up on Monday (I was immediately skeptical, this was Thanksgiving week). The deposit would be $150 and the balance due on delivery. I had to make the decision quickly though. I told her I would call her back within an hour. The deposit debate was still on my mind. She called me back a few minutes later because the driver questioned the year of the car. It was submitted as a 1999 Pontiac Lemans when in fact it was a 1969, a much heavier car. The price would be slightly higher, per the driver. She said she wanted to talk to the driver and would call me right back. They worked out the price difference and the fee would be the same. Impressive! Tammy took over from there. She followed through on everything she promised from our first conversation. My recommendation to anyone looking for auto transportation would be, save yourself the stress, call this company first! Sounds like a paid advertisement but I was just your everyday consumer looking to get a car moved.
