So I get run over by Mike with whom I never had any interaction ever before. Mike, I give you a benefit of doubt and wold assume you got wrong information from Alexandra who was my sole point of contact.

With respect to your comment, Let me start first by asking you when did I ask Autostar or any other staff of Autostar for monetary compensation? I challenge you to paste any mail that I sent you or give me a name of person who told you I was asked for refund. Extracting money from people is not my thing, that is Autostar business policy. I work hard for my living.

Now for your facts.I already selected Stateway for my transport as I said in my previous review but they did not guarantee me an exact delivery date. Alexandra was the one who called me up for follow up and offered to match rate of the other company and also give me an exact date for delivery. I DID NOT call Alexandra for any kind of discount.

Now even if I called for the discount (which again I did not), if they cannot transport in that cost, why did Alexandra accept it? Did I force her, begged her? If this rate was not what you transport for, why did you accept it? All along the comment you keep writing, Vishal requested a lower rate, I was given that quote, I did not request it. And if you can't do the business in the rate you quoted, don't give that quote, simple as that.

I was told that my car was picked up the very next day and then no body called me for next 3 days and yes I did call them and left voice message. Yes, are we there yet? question were irritating to you but for the customer it was like a cheating (lie to take the business and then ignore the customer service)

After a week placing the order, they did call me with a rate of $850 and after talking to them for about 15 minutes and understanding why the rate was increased (which I think I am entitled to), I did say yes and not took 3 hour as mentioned. But the same evening these people called me and said the driver left and now they have a driver for which I have to pay $950. This is when I asked them to cancel my contract which they refused to.

And yes Mike, I am upset because I paid more than the quoted price (even more than the original quote that you gave me and not the one that I 'requested' as per you). I wasn't looking to save $100 on my delivery, I was looking to pay the amount that was quoted to me by your company when you knew how many miles the car needs to be transported. the 1885 miles did not came news to you after you quoted the rate, you should have known that before. Again, IT IS NOT ABOUT PAYING $100 MORE, IT'S ABOUT HOW UNETHICAL THEIR BUSINESS IS. I am not getting any compensation back, it just to make people aware that they lie and cheat to take your business and then play a monopoly game where you have to act and pay the way they want.

Mike, I don't know and am judging you because I think you have been not informed correctly but I still stand by what I say, Alexandra is the most dishonest person I have come across. She lie to take your contract and has unethical business ethics.

Posted by Mike Cannon on 11/2/2011 9:50:00 AM First and foremost, no one from AutoStar ever lied to Vishal, and I am very sorry he feels the need to twist and manipulate the facts in order to try and receive monetary compensation. Now, the facts: The original quote provided to Vishal was indeed $825, and he called Alexandra asking for a discount and that we try and match a lower quote he received for $750. It was explained to Vishal that finding a discounted rate can take time, that there is no guarantee the vehicle will ever move at that rate, but that if he were completely flexible with the timeframe of his transport, we would indeed work to secure him a carrier at his requested rate. Vishal seemed to understand these conditions, though apparently that was not the case, and as he states, this is where our nightmare began. For the next three days, Vishal called customer service constantly wanting a confirmation for the carrier (ever taken a road trip with children, 'Are we there yet? Are we there yet? - ad infinitum). Again, we emphasized to Vishal that he was requesting a lower rate, one that requires flexibility in timing, and reiterated to him that if he wanted it moved quickly, we would recommend increasing his bid to the carrier closer to our original quote. On the 4th day after placing the order, dispatch located a carrier to transport his vehicle that requested exactly the amount of AutoStar's original quote. Vishal was contacted and made aware of the carrier in the area, and given the option to go with our original price, or to pass and keep searching for a carrier at Vishal's discounted rate. Vishal wanted to think it over, and finally called back more than 3 hours later agreeing to let the carrier transport his vehicle. Unfortunately for Vishal, the carrier was more decisive about filling the spot on the truck, booked another load, and moved on. Vishal became very upset when he learned the carrier did not wait half a day for him to make up his mind, a situation certainly frustrating for everyone involved. Well, to make a long story short, Vishal's vehicle was picked up by a carrier at the original quote AutoStar provided, and delivered 6 days later. Alexandra was completely upfront and honest with this 'gentleman' from the beginning, and it is unfortunate that Vishal feels the need to characterize AutoStar in such a manner because he could not save $75 on a vehicle transport of 1,885 miles. As Vishal so aptly points out, it was not about paying $100 more, it was simply about paying the original quoted price.
