Maybe the Google and Yelp reviews don't lie...

Long story short, we wanted to have two vehicles, one SUV and one minivan transported from AK to HI.
I was contacted by Joey Giuliano from AT123 on the 6th of July, told him where the vehicles would be transported, and asked for just a brief quote as I was JUST testing the waters. He kept telling me how I should not trust the reviews on Yelp and Google, as they were mostly "rival companies" leaving poor reviews just to make Auto Transport 123 look worse.

Within 10 minutes, I received a quote of $6,350 plus $800 for the reservation, despite me telling him that I was not ready to book a reservation just yet. Despite my persistency, he kept trying to squeeze my credit card number out, and reassured that no money would be taken out until the time we dropped off the vehicles late November, that was enough to convince me to give out my credit card information. After hanging up, no money was taken out as promised.

Fast forward two months, a company we used in the past finally contacted us, gave us a far better quote than AT123, and showed no persistency or gave me any sort of pressure. On 9/8/2016, I was contacted by someone at AT123 (it was not Joey, it was a female representative) regarding the VIN numbers to our vehicles. It was a good time to tell her that we already found a company, and wanted to cancel. Her attitude and tone changed, told me that there would be a $400 fee (instead of the $100 fee I've been seeing everywhere,) and that I'm at fault as it was on the contract... which it wasn't.
I explained to her that the information was forced out of me, and that I was only testing the waters and was in no hurry. Obviously, she didn't care at all, and told me that the credit card was declined, and took out $200 as a payment overdraft.

tl- dr: testing the waters, got a call, was forced into making a reservation and giving them the CC info, wanted to cancel, forced me out with a $400 credit card fee - they're not as great as they make themselves sound...

Who knows how large or small your cancellation fee is, they don't seem to follow the following quote from their website's terms and conditions: "If an order is canceled due to something out of Auto Transport 123's control., there will be a $50, non-refundable processing fee." If you're only looking around for the cheapest quotes- it's best to ignore AT123 or hang up when they ask for your credit card information.
I have no say in whether they are legitimately going to ship your car as I haven't gotten that far with them. But if you ever cancel with them, prepare to get shafted.

Also, I gave them four stars for being prompt at taking my money.
