Avoidable delays but good experience overall

The vehicle transport itself was flawless- the driver was on time, conscientious and took good care of the vehicle

The challenges were with scheduling and pick-up. The original pickup was to be July 5, the day after a holiday. This is what I discussed and agreed the previous week with AT123. July 5 and 6 came and went and I didn't hear anything so I contacted the person who was in possession of the vehicle to learn that the vehicle was still there. Finally on July 7 a driver comes, but decides he does not have the correct equipment to haul the car. This is after repeated discussions and assurances that they understood the vehicle type (it's very long, wide and unusually low). That driver left and again there was no communication until a new invoice arrived for a higher amount for a later pickup. The vehicle finally was picked up and delivered but nearly a week later than expected. Communication from the transport company was dismal.

Note that this review is for a trip from New Jersey to Atlanta. There was a prior trip from Atlanta to New Jersey that was an even worse customer experience. Not only was the first driver unable to load the vehicle delaying delivery, the follow-up driver did over $1000 in damage. The damage was covered under the transport company's insurance but there was no other consideration provided.
