Okay service, but drivers do not communicate well with customers and are late

My experience with Auto Star Transport was less than ideal. There was a great lack of communication between myself and their drivers, but part of this might be attributed to the fact that I didn't reach out to them directly to transport my car across the country - I used another service (Montway) that scheduled them as my transport company as they had a trucker going from the east coast to the west coast during the time period I wanted my car to be transported.

The painful process initially began when my request for pickup between Monday-Wednesday of the week was not honored - which meant that I had to find somebody else to sign off on my vehicle as I was flying out to the west coast on Thursday. This was okay, as I knew there was a possibility that my 3-day window would not be met.

However, when they told me that it would be picked up between Wednesday and Friday (***and the driver even called and told me it would be picked up Friday morning***), and it was not picked up until Saturday morning (inconveniencing even more people who were going out of their way to help me), I started to get a little bit frustrated. Apparently, Auto Star Transport also hands off the vehicles to multiple drivers. I was not aware of this, but it can be confusing when different people call you telling you that they are on track to pickup/delivery your vehicle when you didn't know they had your vehicle in the first place.

My delivery experience was also a bit of a hassle. The driver called and told me that it would be delivered to Seattle on Friday morning. (They also didn't have my updated delivery address, which they should have been given two weeks prior when I updated it.) That was fine - this was actually earlier than I had thought it would take. But, Friday came and I received no phone call. I called the driver to discover that the truck was getting serviced in Spokane, and that he would give me a call back later. No call ever arrived.

Monday rolls around and I finally got a call from another driver saying that my car was going to be delivered that day. Finally! It arrived in one piece, a bit dirty, but nothing wrong with it as far as I could tell. At this point, I was just glad the process was over and I didn't need to worry about never seeing my car again.
