A Horrible Experience

I chose America's Choice because of the high ratings posted on this website. Unfortunately, this company was just about the worst company I've ever worked with.

To make a long story short, I was given a 7 day pick up window that began on June 22nd. By mid-July my car had still not been picked up and everytime I called, they told me that they could not find a driver to get it. They made the excuse of it being a busy summer and not many trucks going to WA; however they were quick to take my business and make promises they couldn't keep. The "manager" Jeremy was rude and extremely unprofessional.

After at least a month of trying to get my car here (and paying for a rental car), I decided to go with another favorably reviewed company, 1st Choice. They weren't any better (see my review of them). I finally was successful with TNT auto transport - they have contracts with specific drivers. They picked my car up within a week and had it delivered promptly. It arrived on August 12th. (That means I've been without my car from June 22nd to August 12th!!) The auto transport business is definitely one of the shadiest and least regulated industries I've ever encountered.

America’s Choice Auto Movers asks each customer to expect a 1-10 day pick up window. If we do not have a truck assigned within 10 days, we do not charge a cancellation fee. This customer decided that once the 10 day window was up, she would book her order with another company and still keep the order with us. In this industry this is called “double booking”. When a customer books their vehicle with 2 companies and has the vehicle listed multiple times on the dispatch board, no truck will ever think about picking up the vehicle, in fear that the vehicle will already be gone when they get there. When we found out that this customer had her vehicle listed with us and with 1st Choice, we tried to explain this to her, she did not understand that having her vehicle booked with 2 companies was hurting her, not helping her. She insisted that she was going to leave it posted with 1st Choice and us, at this time Jeremy stated that we were going to cancel her order and she could continue to wait for 1st Choice or whatever other company she wanted to book with. She was unhappy about this, which is why she posted this review. We apologize that she had an unpleasant experience, but we strongly urge each customer to only book their orders with one company, this helps to make each move a smooth and pleasant one.
