I had a confirmed deal with American Auto Transport to ship my vehicle from California to Texas. Several days later, I received a telephone call from a representative from the company telling me that they would not be able to complete the transaction without an additional fee of $120. According to the representative, the driver wanted more money to pick up the vehicle and guarantee an on-time delivery. This was inspite of the fact that several days earlier I received a confirmation with a delivery date within my specified delifery time frame. This eleventh hour switch caused major concern, because my drop dead delivery date could not be guaranteed by any other carrier. When I accused their representative of mis-representation, he hung up on me. Very unprofessional and I would not consider using them in the future, under any circumstances. Very deceptive business practices
