We have had several cars transported over the last 12 years (MD-IL, IL-CA, IL-FLA, this one FLA-IL) Out of the 4 times we've used this type of service, this was by far the worst experience (all others were good and professional). From the beginning, late picking up per their original expectations. Dropped car off at Ft. Lauderdale depot. They are a broker and once the car leaves their hands they point you to who they hired to get answers on delivery status. In this case Beak Transport in Willow Springs, IL was the hired company (not recommended). Calls to Beak to schedule the delivery were unanswered at first, Allegiance customer service did get them to contact us once we complained. When in contact expectations on delivery moved several times. DELIVERY OF OUR BMW WAS DRIVEN TO OUR HOUSE in Naperville from either Hinsdale, Willow Springs or intersection of Rt355 and 75th Street, unclear. This was done WITHOUT OUR PERMISSION, we were not given the option to pick up at the depot as respectfully was the policy of previous transport companies we've used. Driver first stated Hinsdale (21.4 miles from our house), then Rt355 and 75th ST (11.4 miles from our house). Their location in Willow Springs is 16.7 miles from our house. After getting into it with the driver for driving my BMW for 10-20 miles and stating 2 locations it was potentially driven from, I called and left message w/Allegiance. I then emailed expressing my outrage of someone driving my BMW for that distance without my permission. I got an email that stated driving the car to delivery is not uncommon (though the previous 3 transports did not have this policy) and basically belittling my complaint. Repeated request for the check in paperwork to show the documented miles have gone unanswered, which is very unprofessional. I have given Allegiance 1 week to at least address my complaint before writing this review and at this point I feel it is appropriate to communicate this experience. I will be contacting the BBB and Department of Consumer Affairs to acquire the checkin paperwork that will document the exact miles driven from the time of drop off to delivery.
