Horrible experience

I chose alliegance because they seemed to have the least number of negative comments. How wrong I was! My first clue was that I was misquoted. I was told that it would cost me 2900 to move my car from Wentzville, Mo to Kodiak, AK. Then I was called back and told that no the cost would be 3500 - since it was their mistake they "generously" offered to take 100 off the price. That should've been my first clue. Unfortunately, I didn't heed it. The car was to be picked up on the 6th of July. Didn't happen. Nor was it the 7th, the 8th, or the 9th. My car was picked up on 14th. This of course was after I had already arrived in Kodiak. My mother had to take a day off work to come and make sure the car was picked up! (There is more money lost!)

Customer service (Bridget) would not call me back for days. I left a message everyday. Then when she finally answered my call she offered to call me in the afternoon to let me know what was going on - it never happened. Seems she had to leave the office "unexpectedly" and couldn't be bothered to call and tell anyone or leave it with another representative.

So here I sit, with no car and no means of transportation unless I want to pay out of pocket (again costing me more money) for a rental car. I called today (July 20, 2009) and was told the car was delivered to the port and that the next ship out is on the 31ST of July!) No apology! No offer for recompense due to incompetence on Allegiance's part. I now have to call the port (after I was told they would call me - now I have to call them.) and pay them. So I will effectively have no car for a month!! As it will take 10 days to get here AFTER it ships. I will never use this company again. Their customer service is the pits and they take no responsiblity for their own incompetence! It seems I am having the same problem as the rest and while I know that allegiance will reply with some explaination that seemingly makes sense - I caution you not to believe it! I am currently looking into what one has to do to file a compliant with the bbb as this has been such a horrendous experience! I encourage others who have had similiar experiences to write additional reviews - maybe when their business drops off they will address the very real problems in their corporation instead of supplying platitudes and blaming it all on the buyer!

The original quote given to this customer was expired for over a month at the time that she decided to place her order. At that point we provided Mrs. Schlup with a new quote based on the current fuel prices. Mrs. Schlup agreed and requested to place the order. We did explain to the customer that the next ship to set sail from the Seattle, WA port would be on July 31st. Therefore, the pick up was scheduled for July 14th with a delivery at the port on July 21st. Any delivery sooner than that may have incurred additional storage fees. We regret to hear of Mrs. Schlup`s feelings especially since both Sarah and Bridget from our customer service team have been in constant communication with her. We will continue to be in contact with our customer until her vehicle is delivered in Alaska and will be here to address any other concerns she may have. Customer service is a very important part of our business and we hope to provide Mrs. Schlup with a positive feeling by the end of her transport.
