Genuine Motorcars of St. Petersburg, FL hired All Source Transport of Boca Raton, FL, a transport broker, to haul my car (2003 Subaru Outback) to Nebraska Jan. 19, 2009. My contact at All Source Transport was Lynn Ashe. I asked if they carried insurance to cover any damages from transport and was told yes. I was not told by either Genuine Motorcars or All Source Transport that there was an exclusion for damage from rock chips. I also did not see or sign a contract with All Source Transport to transport my vehicle. I was not offered the option of using an enclosed transport for a car that was in excellent condition to be transported 1700 miles in winter conditions i.e. sand on the roads. Lynn commented that Curtis, NE is very remote and difficult to transport to. (Curtis is 35 miles of paved roads off I80.) Lynn told me the first transport company would deliver it to Omaha, NE and another transport company would deliver it to me. I called Lynn Monday morning, January 26 to find out the status of my car and to suggest that I take a bus to Omaha to pick it up as I had something planned for the weekend and wanted to make sure I had the car by Friday, January 30. Lynn said she made some calls and when she called back told me it would either be delivered that Wednesday or Friday January 30 at the latest and she recommended not to pick it up in Omaha. I asked her if it was definite that it would be delivered by Friday January 30 and Lynn said yes and that she would put on the order no later than Friday January 30, so I decided not to take a day off and take a bus to Omaha.
Friday morning I called Lynn to find out the schedule of the delivery and she said it was on the way and they would contact me later in the day. (My car was parked at Teeter Transport in Omaha all day Friday) That afternoon I asked if she had heard from the driver or if I could call him to find out about what time he would arrive. Lynn said the drivers are driving large, dangerous trucks and could not use their cell phones, even when they were at other deliveries. Finally around 6: pm she would not return my calls, I called the dealer again as I needed to know if I was going to have to cancel motel reservations, etc. for Saturday. Lynn then called back with the cell phone numbers of the transport company and the driver and was told it would be delivered the next day.
The next day the driver did call me a few times to update me on his progress from his cell phone, he was driving a 3 car hauler towed with a dually pickup and his wife was riding with him. The diver also told me it was very dirty from the trip. When it did arrive the only thing he had me sign was his dispatch sheet, nothing as to accepting the condition of the car. I still have not received a bill of lading for the delivery. The original bill of lading when the car was picked up in Florida noted a number of nicks and scratches, but none on the hood. After washing the car I found at least a dozen rock chips from the transport. I called and was told their insurance does not cover rock chips.
I lost a full day of work and had to cancel my plans for the weekend which also were work related.
I requested I be paid to fix the damage to the hood and also be paid $320.00 for the time I lost not working Friday. I have since received a quote to fix the hood of $923.13. both All Source Transport and the dealer refuse to pay for the damages. And Lynn is very nasty to deal with, including calling me rude.
Bottom line, do not hire All Source Transport or purchase from Genuine Motorcars. Also be involved in who is hired and request all the information about the company, insurance etc. Get the cell phone numbers of the actual transport companies who are doing the driving, don’t let a broker be your only contact. I found out the hard way that Lynn Ashe is very dishonest and cost me in both the condition of my car and aggravation.
Also if you buy from eBay be sure to pay through eBay, I also am having to repair the transmission on this car and cannot use eBay’s Vehicle Purchase Protection because I called the number listed in the add on eBay and made an offer, I did not place a bid online.
This was a terrible and costly experience, I doubt I will buy another car especially if it has to be transported.

This customer bought a 12yr old Subaru, that was inspected by a private company in Florida, prior to receiving it. The dealer whom he purchased from, the inspector, the truck driver and myself tried to explain to Mr. Knoblock that there are imperfections in the paint after 12yrs, and that no bill of lading or inspection report can isolate and mark all the small little chips and imperfections in the over integrity of a paint job. We asked him for photos to show us the damage and even he admitted that they wouldn't show up in a photo. One can only imagine we are talking about minute imperfections. This customer was after a free paint job for a 12yr old Subaru. He was most certainly explained the entire transport procedure, had ample time to read all the terms and conditions, where it is explained both in writing, and then I personally spent twenty minutes on the phone explaining the insurance coverage and the time frame of shipping. We also went over the possiblity of a delay due to weather, since this was winter time. This order was custom made to accomodate door to door delivery in a remote location. He specifically was told not to take a bus and let the transporters and truckers drive during the weather conditions and allow them safe passage and keep him out of harms way. This review Mr. Knblock gave is that of a mean spirited, angry and resentful man that no one can please.
