Well where to begin... I looked online for freight quotes freightcenter.com was the cheapest quoting me at $721. Soon after checking quotes online I received a phone call from jessica crabtree! She seemed nice and knowledgeable. I said I need help figuring out the weight of my stuff, she said well give me a list of what you are bringing. I need to pack up a 2 bedroom apartment and move it from CT to CA. She Assured me that it would all be around 1000 lb and my quote would still be around $700. She also Sent me an email saying how I could give her a written list of the items we were packing, and she could get me a quote on some private movers so that our things would not get damaged during the move. She never looked in to that for me. I then called her to see if I could get my things shipped from a storage unit she checked price for me, it ending up being around 50-70 dollars cheaper. Score! I thought that was great. She everything needs to be boxed, and the bigger items needed shrink wrap and pallets. Easy enough! The day came for my shipment to get picked up, the trucker looked at our stuff in shock because his company doesn't handle residential items, and refused to take anything because EVERYTHING needed to be on pallets and shrink wrapped and he had no clue that there were couches, TVs, and beds. He thought it was only boxes. We call jessica crabtree for help she says that she had no idea that we had anything other than boxes either. Hmm... She must have never read my email I sent her with my list of items!!!! Needless to say the trucker left, she assured us that she was going to fix it for us and set up delivery for the next day with a better delivery company and she'll just "eat" the price difference. The following day we had a few more bumps in the road but nothing too bad, our things were shipped. Shrink wrapped, palleted, boxed, & card board on the edges! This was way more than what jessica crabtree suggested so well definitely have no problem with damages goods!.... Right? Oh so wrong. We were supposed to receive 10 pallets, we received 9! The 10 th pallet had our beds, a painting, & my 49" LCD television! As the trucks is unloading we see 50pecent damage... My almost 2 year old leather sectional couch hash a huge gash in the back and all the framing is busted! My also almost 2 year old coffee table has a 4 inch scrap in it. My entertainment centers back legs are broken! My bike frame bent.... There is much more but I need to shorten thing sob story. We call jessica crabtree to see what is going on with 10 th pallet and told her about all the damage, she was going to call all the freights that took out things immediately and get us our full refund... 10cents per pound... Our stuff ended up being give or take 2700 lbs so if you do the math thats $270. For probably $8000 worth of damage. To this day I have not hears from jessica crabtree. We called to see the status of our 10 th pallet and the woman we spoke to said that she was goin to file a claim which jessica wasnsupposted to do already. The woman said that she didn't see any other claim filed. Then my room goes to the grocery store and his card got denied! Freightcenter.com charged Him $2000 for the shipment and we still owe another $2000. Because our things exceeded the 1000lb jessica crabtree quoted us on! Instead of costing $600ish dollars they are charging us $5000!!!! And damaged $8000 worth of goods.

Important thing...freightcenter.com will give you 10cents per pound, however their carriers give $1.00 per pound... So if you file a claim freightcenter.com makes 90cents per pound! Basically they want you to get you things damages. It's so corrupt! Sorry for the long post I need to vent freight center doesnt care....
