I called Freightcenter.com to schedule a pickup from the LA area and transport to the Chicago area. I was very specific that the shipment absolutely had to arrive in Chicago no later than Friday because I moved from CA out to IL by myself and would only have help until Sunday. I arranged to have the shipment picked up on a Tuesday and was guaranteed that it would arrive on Friday. I called multiple times to confirm a Tuesday pickup, including twice on Tuesday. They kept assuring me that the driver would show up, but as of 7pm Pacific Time he had not and Freightcenter was no longer answering thier phones.

The shipment was picked up the next day, but I was told it would arrive on the following Monday instead of the Friday date that had been guaranteed to me. When I called Freightcenter to speak to a manager, I was transferred to Jessica Crabtree who told me she could get me a quote to see how much extra it would cost for the delivery man to carry my funiture up to my apartment. I asked her to give me the service free of charge since it was their error that left me without help. She said she would talk to her boss and call me back first thing the following day.

That was the last time I was able to speak with her. I called at noon the following day (Thursday at this point) and she was "unavailable" so I left a message. I called again at 4pm and got the same result. I tried again on first thing Friday morning, was told she was unavailable, and was transferred to Customer Service. They didn't answer my call or return the message that I left.

The moral of the story is that FreightCenter.com has absolutely TERRIBLE customer service and cannot be trusted with your shipment. Once they have your money and your furniture they could care less about helping you at all.
