As a first-time customer of an auto transportation company, I noticed that "door to door" is a loose idea. If the driver deems the roads too narrow, they will require you to meet them at a common point. As this is usually easier for them, and they have control over the truck, it seems this to be the more common event. More worrisome was when we received the vehicle. When the car was inspected, new damage was noted. The driver, Ronnie, refused to allow us to mark the new damage, stating he would "put the car back on the rig" and take it back to Maine. At other points, he threatened to take the car and keep in in storage, not allowing us to have access. He was aggressive and used foul language. Fearing a prolonged loss of control over the vehicle, we accepted it as damaged and thus have lost the ability to receive compensation for the damage. While the scratches are easily repaired, the entire experience was extremely uncomfortable and ugly.
