Do Not Use AAA Transporters

This was a terrible, stressful experience dealing with AAA Transporters. Based upon their offer of a $300 gas rebate card, I dealt with this company. I set up the move of my daughter's car from CA to VA 30 days before the move date. I sent a confirmation email upon receiving the verbal quote, did not receive a reply. Two days before pickup I called to again confirm, and they told be the price and deposit would almost double, and the pickup would be a week later, and delivery would be 100 miles away, not our home town. I could have walked away but felt stuck because of the short notice, and my daughter's flight was leaving next day. We then had to arrange for someone else to handle loading of her car. After they had the car, we were told delivery would be at 10PM. Having to pay in cash, at night, 100 miles away, afer all the troubles with the company (which at one point they asked me were they delivering to my daugther's address) did not sound good. I arranged police presence if needed. They also over-charged my credit card the $200 deposit by $150 (total $350, which was originally stated in the email contract as $100). They finally removed the extra $150 5 days later after I complained to them and the credit card company.

The car arrived, actually early at 8PM, did not need the police. Car was fine. The gas card? A month later, I haven't received it. I have called numerous numerous times long distance from VA to AAA Transporters (CA and FL) and received various stories: they didn't know the car had arrived; they had to email me a survey (never received the email survey, despite numerous calls, which, they put me constantly on hold and I had to call back); then I was told me they would fax a survey (no fax received), then I was told they actually had to buy the cards and I would receive it in the mail the next week (did not receive), then I was told the cards would be sent out 3 weeks later. I finally gave up; it appears to be a miracle if I actually receive this card, and I have no idea how it works. And, I can only guess that the demand for cash at delivery means that someone is not paying taxes on it.

My experience and advice: Don't use AAA Transporters. You are more than welcome to call them yourself at 562-513-208 (Richard) or 305-251-6883 (Carlos) and see what you think. Good luck getting a straight answer. When all said and done, did we receive the car? Yes. At an agreed upon price? No. Without hassle? Absolutely not...tremendous hassle. I should have walked away or flown to CA from VA and driven it back myself. I don't think they were happy with my business. I was treated as a nuisance the whole time.
