I had needed to get my car shipped from Hawaii to Delaware, so I did some research to find a reputable transport company. I had found AAA Anytime, while reading reviews they seemed to be mixed but so did most of the others, the major benefit over this company was that they could deliever the car a week faster than other companies and i liked that they dealt with Horizon Lines to ship the car enclosed over seas. They had told me that the car would take 22 days to arrive, the company costed a lil more than other companies, but since it was faster, I thought it would be worth it, (wrong choice). Well I dropped the car off in Sand Island in Hawaii on the day the company had told me too, and when I got there at Horizon lines they had asked if I had an appt. to do a walk around, which i was unaware that I had to do because I was never informed. I had to waive the walk around because I was flying out that same day, the walk around is something that I really wanted to do because they go around the car and mark down and existing scracthes and anything new would be covered by the company. While I was there Horizon lines had informed me that the car wouldn't go out for another 5 days, which i was unaware of because the AAA Anytime had made it seem as though it would go out that day or the day after. Well I relocated back to Delaware and waited for my car to arrive. The 22nd day came around and I hadn't heard from the company and I was wondering if my car was close, so I called them, they gave me numbers to the trucking company and told me to call them to find out where my car was, I thought this was there job, and that they would know where my car was, So i call the trucking company to find out that my car hadn't even arrived to California yet! I was shocked because here I was thinking that my car was like a state or so away. They informed me that it was suppose to arrive to CA the following day and would be trucked cross country and would arrive til the next week. I was really irrated at this point, but there was little i could do. So i waited and the next week came and I never heard anything from them, so again i called AAA Anytime. They were unaware that I hadn't got my car again and again told me to call the trucking company. After going through this big run around I found that my car was still in California and was going to be picked up the next day to be trucked. At this point I was really upset with the company, and I called AAA Anytime back to informed them that my car was still sitting in CA, yea they were appoligetic for the other company, not them and said that if i had found that out earlier they could have arranged another trucking company to deliever my car. So I waited another week and finally got a call from the trucking company that my car was in Delaware. It had been a total of 35 days, two weeks over due, when orginally it was only suppose to take three weeks to deliever the car. Well when the car arrived the truck guy pulled it off the truck, not in an easy way but came flying in reverse and about pulled off my front bumper as it scrapped down the ramp. Then when I did the walk around with the truck guy, I noticed that there were a few half a foot scrap marks down the sides, I pointed them out to him and he was like oh they come right out and put some compound on them and yea they went away for the moment but still come back til i wax my car again. I signed the form with his persistance, that confirmed that car arrive with no problems. I paid him 2,200, but this didn't seem to be enough for his taste. He said to me quote " I understand you a college student, you no tip" I was shocked and confused because it was little knowledge to me that you tip the trucker guy, especially when your car is two weeks late, I would think they should be the ones giving me money back. I then offered him 5 dollars that i had on me (I know it wasn't much but it was all i had for a tip that i didn't was deserved, alone allowed) and he was like "oh no thats okay I understand, your a college student" After that I didn't offer him it, and was really irrated at this point because first he assumed that I was cheap and an ingnorant college student. I mean do you tip your UPS man, or someone doing there job, I mean yea I understand for delivering pizzas and stuff, but for my car that just got done paying 2200 to get shipped, that was late, and that I just watched him scrapped my front bumper which he said was okay. I would at least think they would pay him enough money for him to not going around complaining because of no tips. In the end I was just happy to get my car back even though it seemed to be an never ending battle. Whether it was AAA Anytime or the trucking companies they use fault for the delays, I will not use this company ever again when I go to get my car shipped again because of their poor customer service and lack of organization within the company, I mean they were completely unaware that my car and that it was in CA, aren't they suppose to know this kind of stuff? My advice, use discretion when picking a company

To R Burris, We are very sorry that your car was "Bumped" by Horizon Lines. We never were informed about this until the car arrived on the West Coast! Please accept our sincere apologies, if we had known ahead of time things would have been very different. Sincerely, Customer service
