Poor Customer Service

Upon make a reservation to have our vehicle shipped we were told it would take an estimated 22 Days from point to point. We were told the vehicle would be shipped fron Kona, HI directly to LA then truck to Maryland. We had our vehicle dropped on On Sepetmber 10, 2007 and later found out it would have to go to Honolulu were it will remain until it is put on another ship on September 22 for LA. It arrived in LA on September 27 but it was not picked up until October 5, 2007. It took a total an additional 17 Days to arrive in Maryland on October 18th. Each time we called AAA Anytime the man (Mark) was very short and make you feel like why are you calling. This was not just once but each and everytime. When I asked why were we not told the vehicle had to go to Honolulu he snapped you need to asked the carrier that. When I ask about the delay between the vehicle arriving in LA and the trucking company picking up again he snapped you don't know it takes between 7 - 10 befor the vehicle is release, I stated I was not it the shipping business and had not clue. The process of making the arrangement and paper work was excellent The customer service is very poor. I asked when I could expect to receive my vehicle indicated he had no clue. I after waiting a few days I called again but the line was always busy. I called the number listed on this site and the lady provied me the information right away and gave the number to the trucking company to contact them directly. The price was great and the company would really be even better if one did not have to deal with customer service where the customer is not number one the customer seem to be a burden.

To Stephon & Kathy, We are very sorry that your car was "Bumped" by Horizon Lines. We never were informed about this until the car arrived on the West Coast! Please accept our sincere apologies, if we had known ahead of time things would have been very different. Sincerely, Customer service
