STAY AWAY FROM AAA

Stay away from this joke of a company. So here's what happened. I called them up, they were very friendly... Their price was right and they told me that they could pick up on the date I requested (this was October 1-2). They told me that it takes 6 days to ship across the country and they rarely have delays. I thought that sounded good... On October 1st, I get a call from them saying they need to delay by 3 days so that the truck can get repairs. I say "OK." I expected there to be some delays. The new pickup date comes and goes and I call their office to inquire what the issue is. The woman on the other line tells me that she was "just about to call me" and that they had another delay. I told her that I was very upset, and was going to cancel. She told me that they were almost there and that she would contact the driver and instruct him to come to me first and that he would drop off my car first (giving me priority, in her words). I say OK. They finally pick it up on the 12th (A day later than she told me...). The driver refuses to come to the agreed upon pickup location which was along a MAJOR road, off of the MAJOR highway that he arrived on. So we had to bring the car TO THEM. (Generally fine... but after the issues we had already had it was just another headache). The driver, Carlos, quotes 8 days for delivery. Surprised, I call AAA back up and ask how long it is going to take, they assure me six days. I explain to them that I am fed up with this and do not want to use their service if they cannot guarantee a somewhat timely delivery. They say it will be here in 6. Six days come and go and I call AAA again. This time I get some extremely rude woman that she didn't know what they told me, but that it would be here saturday or sunday (the 22nd or 23rd). So friday I call them to check on the status. They say that everything looks like its in order and didn't know why Carlos hasn't called to schedule the exact delivery time. The woman tells me that she will call him up and either have him call me right back or call me back herself. Needless to say I never got a call back... Well, it's the 22nd, still no call from them. It's saturday, so their NV "office" is closed. Their main 800 number is telling me that they cannot DO ANYTHING. I even said I had the damn driver's number and he still said that he couldn't do anything. So I called Carlos directly, he picked up and apparently their truck broke down again. He says they're delivering a car in LA tomorrow and that I will have my car monday night. When exactly? I don't know... Will the car be in one piece? I don't know. Will it be missing parts from the engine? Possibly... Believe me, I will have the local police number handy when they finally do deliver it (just in case). This ordeal has been a NIGHTMARE. Someone ought to start a class-action suit against these guys. I have never before felt so swindled, cheated, and violated by a business.
