It started off with the comment by their agent, after a quote of 675, "Well she's new here, didn' know what she was doing". Yeah, it seemed to be too good to be true, and this was confirmed by the current agent. What I should have noticed was that the contract sent to me with the fantastic quote was written by the same person I was talking to!!

So we wrote up another contract for 875. Then the fun really began. First it took almost a week to pick up the car, which was on a Wednsday. By next week I ready to receive my car, so I called A to Z to finalize things. Then I got the "Oh, we have a problem..." First of all, they said the vehicle was inoperable, which was true. Next they said the vehicle couldn't be moved in the traditional sense because of clearence. Of course now that they had the vehicle (at a location I didn't know), the bombs came.

First of all, the car was still in MA. It had been in their custody for a week without any communication or any attempt to contact me. Then, of course, the price to ship was now going to be double - 1650!!! This was after an extreme effort on their part! Yeah right. I cancelled immediately! Well, what happened next was revelation. I got a call directly from the trucker who wanted to know if I had cancelled due to price - he was willing to give me the same price he quoted A to Z - 1375!! This was after A to Z had told me about their supreme effort to get me the best possible price due to my circumstances, how hard they tried to contract me a new price, etc.

To top it off, they charged me 275 to tow the vehicle to and from their storage terminal, they said this was a favor to me. Well what it actually was, was extortion. They had my vehicle at a location unknown to me, while I was under the impression that the vehicle would arrive any day. So basically they dictated the succeeding terms

If it wasn't so difficult to determine my costs, I might have considered legal action. Since I probably won't, I'm doing the next best thing. I'm making sure someone else doesn't let A to Z screw them.

Details are available on request, such as time line, contact person, etc. I have documentation to support my statements.
