Avoid A-Team moving storage - just for their customer service reps...

Hi,

I chose 'A-team moving and storage', a Dallas based company, for transporting my household goods from Austin to Texas. The only time they showed their promptness was in sending the Quote. Once we agree or make the initial payment (i.e., advance), then you will never see the same kind of promptness they showed at the very beginning. The customer service (from the call centre ppl) was the worst I had ever seen.

I asked them to deliver the goods on a certain date and initially they informed me it all depends on the availability of truck. When I followed up after a couple of days, they informed me that the goods are in transit. It is good that they immediately found a truck for my shipment but they did not have even the basic courtesy to inform me. When asked about the delivery date, they gave me the driver number and ask me to directly contact them. I tried reaching the driver several times and he never picked his phone. So, it was a catch 22 situation that A-team will not respond me about the shipment and the driver will not pick mycall.... I didn't know when I can expect the shipment and the 'ever' un-reliable customer reps gave me the standard dialogue of max 14 days from the 'Ready' date !!! don't know what that 'Ready' mean in their book of vocabs. i got some ray of hope regarding my delivery only after talking to the manager.... I am 'hopefully' waiting for my delivery.

Pros:
The manager was really good in responding to my questions
The packers did an excellent job and they did the packing quite fast

Cons:
Their CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVES... Absolutely no communication... either by e-mail or by phone...

I will never use A-Team moving and Storage nor would recommend any of my friends/ colleagues for any kind of transportation.
