Unexpectedly, I was given a used Volvo Wagon. My problem was that the car was in NY and I live in FL. I had never used a transport company before and gas was over $4 gallon and then there were the tolls and meals and a motel, etc.
When I compared costs of flying up there, getting the car and driving back, vs car train from MD to Sanford, I decided to investigate transport services. After reading multiple reviews and getting 10 quotes, I reluctantly chose the cheapest.
Other companies gave me odd answers about when they could get the car and the time it might take to get it here, extra charges and fuel supplements. When I told 4 Corners my situation, they offered to pick up the car the next day and get it here as soon as possible for $574. They were very professional and tracked the car from pick-up to delivery. They told me it would be cheaper if the car could be picked up in NJ. I followed their advice and a friend brought the car from Manhattan to Ft.Lee.They even told me the position of the car on their truck and explained that they would deliver 6 other cars in FL before they got to my house. The driver and his partner drove all night and I got the car in 2 days!
